DIVYA PRABANDAM

Nalayira Divya Prabandham is known as Tamizh Marai or Tamil Veda & is considered equivalent to 4 vedas available in Sansksrit . They consist of about 4000 verses sung by Tamil Saint Poets known as Azhwars. They are Poigai Azhwar, Boothat-thazhwar, Peyazhwar, Thirumazhisai Azhwar, Nammazhwar, Madhura Kavi Azhwar, Periyazhwar, Sri Andal, Kulasekara Azhwar, Thondaradip-podi Azhwar, Thirup-panazhwar and Thirumangai Azhwar.

I am a retired Sr. Scientist from BARC, Mumbai. Hon. Gen Secretary of Sri Ramanuja Sabha Mumbai. I have been involved in various cultural and devotional activities like arranging Divya Prabandha Goshtis, group rendering of devotional music, Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam etc. Apart from giving regular musical presentations based on Sri Vaishnava Scriptures, I have authored books titled "Songs on Alwars and Acharyas" and "Poongothai Pugazh Maalai" in Tamizh. I have been teaching these songs to interested persons. I have also compiled Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram and alied Stotrams with devotional songs in a book in Devaganagiri and Tamil scripts. I am the founder member of Geetanjali Bhajan Group based in Mumbai and performed many stage programmes.
